You are Enough

I-am-enoughApr30

I don't want to talk about the times we're in -there are plenty of people doing that. But isn't it interesting the differing outlooks of the times we're in? What we "should" be doing? That we "should" be making the most of it. Or we "should" just be getting through it and onto the other side.

We have one camp, let's call them the Get. Shit. Done. Camp. They say we need to come out of this the BEST WE'VE EVER BEEN. Now we are self isolating and not busy with commuting or office life or outside social life. They tell us now is the time to write the book you've always wanted to. To plant a garden and grow your own vegetables. To sort out your paperwork. Submit your tax return early. To bake fresh. To get in the best shape of your life. To eat the healthiest. To teach your kids the best and have them be the best they've ever been.

And then there's another camp who say These are Unprecedented Times. We don't know what the world will look like at the end of this. We don't know who or what we'll be like at the end of this. They say don't have any goals or expectations. You can do nothing. Sleep through it. Binge on Netflix. Eat whatever. Drink whatever. And just survive through this.

Where do you sit?

I feel I've been oscillating. I love my work and supporting, healing and providing insight and guidance to people is my passion, my gift. And seeing their transformation and happiness at the end of each session gives me SO MUCH JOY. So I know I'd be unhappy and unsatisfied if I spent all my days watching TV and eating junk food. And at the same time, if I try and push to Grow My Business (because apparently now is the time according to the first camp) it would be inauthentic. I've had a number of business owners contact me in recent weeks (understandably since we are some of the hardest hit) and I found them to be pushy. Their energy was one of needing me to buy whatever their company does. One even began shouting at me when I pushed back after they tried to guilt me. That is not the practitioner, coach, business owner or person I am, so that approach wouldn't work for me either.

So, I keep landing up at a different camp. One which feels right and good FOR TODAY. Some days I've been decluttering the house. Some days I've binged half a Netflix series. Some days I've walked for 2 hours. Some days I've spent almost entirely in my pajamas. Some days I've had long phone/video calls with far away family or friends. Other days I haven't talked to anyone but a select 2/3 people. Some days I've been super productive executing changes to my business. Some days I've had no creativity (hence blog post last week).

What I've come to realise is whatever I'm doing is enough. However many ChandeReiki clients I help each week is enough. However many Tropic Skincare customers order goodies is enough. However much I communicate with friends this week is enough. However much I exercise is enough. However much I support family is enough. However much I get outside fresh air is enough. However much I cook fresh is enough. However many times I wash my hair is enough 😂
Similarly, however much I sleep is enough. However much I chill and watch films is enough. However much I listen to inspiring talks and podcasts is enough. However much I rest is enough. We are so often critical of ourselves for not doing enough. And equally we can be very hard on ourselves for doing too much and subsequently feeling exhausted/overwhelmed/irritated/empty.

My one non negotiable is my morning meditation. This I do without fail. At the very least it anchors me into myself so I remain connected to me, my spirit, throughout the day even when I feel pushed and pulled by the world. At most I feel incredible, get clarity and inspiration pours in 🌟 (if you haven't already downloaded my free Calming meditation check it out here

Beyond that I'm giving myself a lot of free rein. And it's so unbelievably freeing.
Then, hilariously and as a by-product,  I end up being productive, connected to others and active anyway.

So, for those of you who need to hear this today:

You are doing enough

You are a good parent

You are a good spouse/partner

You are a good sister/brother/daughter/son/family member

You are a good worker

You are a good friend

You are a good human

YOU ARE ENOUGH

Exactly as you are RIGHT NOW. YOU ARE ENOUGH

And YOU'RE DOING ENOUGH

Your best is more than enough. And I know with complete certainty that you're doing your best. And you have been all this time.

If you need a helping hand with your inner critic contact me

And share this blog with those who also need to hear this today. And if you don't feel like it, don't. You're doing enough already 😉

With all my love,
Chandrika ❣️
