5 things bringing me joy right now - September 2020

With the world and rules changing regularly it's easy to feel uncertain. I believe it's even more important during these times to focus on what we CAN control. And to focus on JOY and happiness as far as possible. And merging the two together, to really focus on what we are in charge of and how we can bring ourselves more joy. That is in our hands. So I wanted to share with you what I'm doing and perhaps it will inspire and help you. Here are 5 things bringing me joy right now:
- I'm listening to 🎧 - At Last by Etta James Wow what a voice! An oldie and goodie :) This song pierces deep into my heart every time ❤️
- I'm enjoying 🌍 - Spending as much time outdoors in nature as I can. Working on my laptop from the garden, walks around the block. Social walks rather than meeting indoors etc. However much I can enjoy the sun, the grass, the trees and rivers I am. Before the cold, dark, wet weather arrives :) I feel I don't know how important this is for me until I'm in nature and reminded of how great I feel and I'm being filled UP 🥰
- I'm watching 👁👁 Grey's Anatomy - I started re-watching from the beginning (there are 17 seasons 😂). I don't know what it is about this show but I laugh, I tear up, I have lightbulb moments of insight. It's such a full experience. And I can even be amused about the holes in the story :) Plus the music creator Shonda Rhimes uses throughout each episode is on point. I'm often Shazaming while watching :)
- I'm eating 🥗 - Adding colourful salads to my lunch. Putting together as many colours as I can - yellow peppers, purple beetroot, green cucumber, red tomatoes, green leaves, orange carrots, yellow sweetcorn, black olives etc. is bringing me joy. The act of making the salad (mindfully) and eating it is really satisfying, especially as I know I'm nourishing myself 💚
- I'm reading 📖 - Dying to be me by Anita Moorjani. Days after hearing an awesome interview with her, this book appeared on my dining table! Isn't it wonderful when that happens? Her near-death experience and what she learnt about life is fascinating, I'm excited to keep reading :)
I hope this supports you in some way this week 😍 And I'd love to know, what's bringing you joy at the moment?
Take good care of yourselves and enjoy a gorgeous weekend and week ahead. Remember, you are not alone 🥰
With all my love,
Chandrika ❣️
